Both my parents are not with me anymore. After a long struggle, mine not to be able to let go and economics' bad buyers market, I was able to sell my parents' house in September of 2015. It had become a burden. Every stay partly spent cleaning and repairing. From the beginning of the year 2015, I saw that I was trying to hang on to something that was not there anymore, and that was not coming back either. When I was in Zoetermeer, I longed to have my family with me and do the happy things we always did. But boys grow, and they have other things on their minds. I am lucky to have so many beautiful memories, beautiful feelings in my heart, a whole stock of short video's in my head which make me relive all of the good times whenever I want to. So, the chapter The Netherlands could be closed. I have no direct family anymore. Just a whole bunch of cousins twice around the corner, children of my father's and mother's cousins. With a couple, I have great contact, we grew up together in Leeuwarden during the vacations when I stayed with my father's parents. And I also still have some friends. But I need something more, and I know I have found this in my activity with Ringana. Ringana, an Austrian network marketing company, that sends their health products thru all of Europe after being recommended by someone to someone else. Since April of 2013 I am active. I got to love the products after my friend Karin gifted me a facial cream for Christmas 2012, realizing I would never buy them to try them out. I am cheap. She had to push me to use it, I just left it on the bathroom untouched. She pressured me by underlining the fact that the product would not keep more than six months after production because it contained no preservatives. So, to pleasure her, I started using it. After three weeks I was hooked on the effect this cream had on my face. No more discolorings and pimples. I wanted to get involved myself that same evening of this revelation, eventhough I had been saying "NO!" to my friend Karin for over a year and a half. I had felt that she was trying to push me into something I did not want, not wanting to be the physiotherapist who 'sells stuff'. But the effect of the product had changed my mind. Getting enrolled was just a ten minute job online, and cost me a 29 euro entrance fee to have my 'office online'. I knew already what network marketing meant. I have always been very wary of the way of selling products. Snowball system, multi level marketing, time share. You name it, I can tell you why not to embark. Headstrong I have always scared off any sales person at my door. And now I am doing the same, more or less. No, I am not doing the same. Network marketing is different. It does not harm any person, it does not make the first people to go on board rich, it does not leave you with a hangar full of stuff you are never able to sell. It gives you a provision when you recommend a product. How often have you told a friend to go to a certain restaurant to eat? No restaurant owner ever called me up afterwards, said thank you and offered me a free coffee the next time you would be in the neighborhood. If you recommend a service or a product from any company or store, you never get a thanks and the big companies get richer, and never share their profits with the any of us. In network marketing, thru acquisition of clients and partners, one creates a big net of persons using and promoting the products you love. And instead of a big company getting having exaggerated profits they will just keep to grow, regular Jane's and Joe's have an extra income that will flow into the local economy where they live. It is for a reason that many economists see network marketing as the way of 'selling and earning' of the future. Would you rather see that your friend earns a bit more money to maybe take out her family for a nice diner and buy a present for her mother or that some hot shot buys another jet or penthouse? There are numerous books, articles and video's which explain that network marketing is okay and not a scam. And ofcourse you yourself have to use your brain and see if a company is a good deal or not. But to get back to the title of this piece, I am looking forward to finding more clients, who might even later on become friends and partners, in The Netherlands so I have the perfect reason to say to my family 'I am off for a couple of days, mixing business with pleasure'.
